Join artist and experienced life drawing tutor, Medina Hammad, for a series of workshops exploring different aspects of working from the human form. These long form workshops will explore perspective, composition and movement in life drawing and can function as single workshops or in conjunction with each other.

Saturday 6, 13 and 20 August from 10am -2pm in the Usher Gallery. Each session costs £30.

Saturday 6 August - Workshop 1: Perspective and the figure

This introductory workshop is about managing and understanding the three-dimensional elements and aspects that become involved when we are working from life. How do we begin to translate a real form so that it makes spatial sense?

Saturday 13 August - Workshop 2: Composition and the figure

What do we need to consider when we look at a pose or set one up for ourselves? This session focuses on the use of composition in life studies.

Saturday 20 August - Workshop 3: Movement in life study

The final opportunity in our series looks at the challenge of capturing movement within life work. It is possible to to draw and paint this wonderful quality?
